LinkedIn has now officially launched its new polls option, offering another way to boost user engagement on the platform. You will be able to track the poll results in real-time as a poll creator and the outcome could be particularly helpful for segmentation and targeting.

As seen in the above video the poll option in LinkedIn is almost the same as any other poll creation platform. You will be able to compose the question and list up to four number of optional answers which can be valid for a duration of 24 hours to two weeks. These polls created in LinkedIn can be shared with your connections (subject to LinkedIn’s algorithm), specific groups, or to any specific people that you’re connected to.

As noted in the LinkedIn blog, the polls could be an effective option within groups, dependent on the quality of engagement and membership. The poll options were actually available till 2014 and now LinkedIn made it available in the active LinkedIn groups making it a way to gather relevant insights, quickly and easily, facilitating more interaction.

LinkedIn says that polls options now started its deployment gradually on both mobile and desktop and will continue over the next few weeks. If you’re not seeing the poll option yet, you may get it soon.
