As the options for kids summer camps are limited this year due to COVID-19, YouTube is providing some online alternatives by adding a new set of educational resources to help kids maximize their YouTube presence. YouTube has launched a new #CampYouTube initiative to re-create some of the most popular camp experiences via YouTube videos.

As stated by YouTube, Google searches for β€œvirtual summer camps” are spiking over the past few weeks, and they wanted to help parents structure this new off-way season. Starting today, Camp YouTube will deliver content on the Learn@Home site and YouTube Kids across different summer camp themes categories, such as arts, adventure, sports, STEM, and more. YouTube will be offering over 1,200 videos during this two-week period with content refreshed every weekday through Sunday, July 5. They promise that they have made sure there’s something for everyone through #CampYouTube

We have spotted currently five learning toolkits on the platform, with more to come. And even if you’re not aiming to be a YouTube creator, it could be worth watching those videos to get a better understanding of the way the virtual summer camp platform works.

As everyone knows, this summer may be quite challenging for a lot of us. By opting #CampYouTube, let us hope our kids and families can experience the magic of camp from home!
